Vikram M Pattarkine, PhD, BCEEM

Dr Vikram Pattarkine is a chemical-environmental engineer with three decades of international experience covering consulting, R&D, technology development, manufacturing, and training. He has received US citizenship through recognition of “extraordinary ability…through sustained national or international acclaim.” He founded and runs PEACE USA, an independent consulting practice set up to provide environmental stewardship strategies and solutions to investor groups and clients around the world. He has previously been the founding CTO of a renewable energy technology start-up; Senior VP of an engineering consulting firm; and Director of Process Engineering of an equipment manufacturing firm. During the 1990s he led the Environment and Natural Resources Management consulting practice of Tata Consultancy Services, one of the world’s largest consulting firms.
Dr Vikram has been nominated on several prestigious professional committees such as the Chesapeake Bay Program's Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee and the Water Environment Federation's Municipal Resource Recovery Design Committee as an expert on nutrient management, energy conservation, and renewable energy. Dr Vikram holds a PhD in environmental engineering from Virginia Tech, USA and a Master’s in chemical engineering from Nagpur University, India. He has been an adjunct professor of environmental engineering at the University of Missouri and has also taught master’s students at Pennsylvania State University. He has authored chapters in manuals, peer-reviewed papers, and numerous technical reports. He has conducted training programs and has made conference presentations worldwide.
Dr Vikram is a keen student of how Bhagavad Gita and Vedanta principles can be applied and experienced in our daily lives. He has been a yoga practitioner for four decades and regularly teaches those interested. He is a music connoisseur and has organized several classical music concerts. He follows and actively promotes a lifestyle based on natural plant-based diet for both personal health and the planet’s sustainability. He loves cricket and watches it whenever he is able.

Dr Leena has a PhD in Biochemistry from Indian Institute of Technology, one of the world’s leading academic institutions. She is currently the Program Lead, Biotechnology and Director Capital Area Biotechnology Partnership at the Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, Pennsylvania, USA. She has experience teaching, mentoring, training, and capacity building in biochemistry, biology, biotechnology (health, environmental, green biotechnology, applied biotechnology), and nanobiotechnology. She has extensive research experience in biochemistry and nanobiotechnology, including membranes, proteins, lipids, DNA diagnostics (gene therapy, DNA chips), immobilization of biomolecules for developing them as nanobiotechnological material, establishing structure-function relationships for macromolecules (proteins, nucleic acids), and developing liposomal systems for drug delivery. She has an innovative approach with extensive experience in a variety of biochemical techniques. She has experience in formulating and supervising research projects and meeting deadlines by aggressive project monitoring, and a successful track record of winning and managing scientific research grants.

Mr Abraham has advised, managed, participated in or approved numerous projects related to Renewable Energy; Environmental Assessments and Impact Statements; Environmental Regulations and Policy Development; Industrial, Municipal and Hazardous Waste Management; and Water and Wastewater Projects. He has administered, participated in or approved numerous projects related to Water and Wastewater Project Planning, Engineering Design, Construction Management, Financial Management, Troubleshooting Operation and Maintenance Problems, Alternate Dispute Resolution Process for Resolving Construction Claims, and Value Engineering/Analysis. Infrastructure; and Rural Development. He has managed and participated in projects financed by Governmental and local agencies and financial institutions, including

Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), US Army Corps of Engineers (COE), and US Department of Energy (DOE). He has organized training programs, workshops, and seminars for Consulting Engineers, DEP staff, COE staff, and USDA employees on Project Planning, Environmental Compliance, Development, Financing, Construction Monitoring, and Dispute Resolution. He has developed Handbook and Guidance Documents for USDA financing: Uniform Environmental Review Process, Pre-Construction Conference Guide, Natural Resources Management Guide and PA Handbook on Financing Community Programs. He has obtained Research & Technology development (Ben-Franklin) financing for a research and development project.
